SnapXFit at a Glance
SnapXFit is an AI fitness tracker. You photograph a meal, a Gemini vision model estimates the dishes, the portion, and the calories, protein, carbs and fat, and you review and edit that estimate before anything is saved. It also logs workouts from a built-in exercise catalog, tracks body weight over time, counts streaks, and scores seven-day calorie adherence. Trainer–client coaching is optional and invite-only. The app is built for iPhone and Android; the website carries the account, the policies, and the free games and articles. SnapXFit is free to use and supported by ads; nothing is sold inside the app. SnapXFit is built and operated by Yashwant Midha in Canada, independently, and every enquiry goes to support@snapxfit.com. We do not publish an accuracy percentage or an analysis-time figure for the AI, because neither has been measured; every AI value is an editable estimate.
What SnapXFit Is
SnapXFit is an AI-powered fitness tracker. Snap a photo of your meal and AI estimates the calories and macronutrients — you review, edit, and accept the result before anything is saved. Alongside meal logging, SnapXFit includes workout logging, a weight log with trend charts, a seven-day calorie-adherence score, weekly workout summaries, and streaks that reward consistency. The idea is simple: the fewer taps it takes to log a meal, the more likely you are to still be logging next month.
How the Meal Photo Analysis Works
When you snap a meal, the app asks our server for a short-lived signed upload link and sends the photo straight to storage — the image never sits in a shared inbox or a third-party gallery. The app then asks for an analysis, and a background worker picks the job up, sends the image to a Gemini vision model, and writes back a structured result: the dishes it recognised, an estimated portion, and calories plus protein, carbs, and fat. The screen polls until the result lands, usually in a few seconds. Nothing is committed to your diary automatically. You see the estimate first, adjust the portion or any macro that looks off, and only then accept it. As soon as the analysis is committed, the source photo is deleted from storage — we keep the numbers, not the picture.
AI Tokens Explained
Every AI analysis costs real money to run, so AI usage is metered rather than throttled behind a paywall. Free accounts start with five tokens, earn one more for a daily check-in, and can earn two at a time by watching a rewarded ad. One token covers one AI call, and the balance is tracked server-side so it stays correct across your phone and any reinstall. Premium accounts skip the wallet entirely and run against an hourly allowance of twenty AI calls instead, which is far more than a normal day of logging needs. If you ever run out, manual meal entry is always free and unlimited — the token only ever pays for the AI, never for the tracking.
What You Can Track
Meals, with per-meal calories and macros and a running daily total against your targets. Workouts, from a built-in exercise catalog, with sets, reps, and duration rolled up into a weekly summary. Body weight, in kilograms or pounds, plotted over time so you can see the trend instead of reacting to a single bad morning. Streaks, both current and longest. And a seven-day adherence view that counts how many days you landed on target, came in under, or went over — which is usually a more honest picture of a week than any single number.
Our Mission
Most people quit tracking their nutrition because it is tedious. Searching a food database for "grilled chicken thigh, skin removed" three times a day is a chore nobody sticks with. Our mission is to make consistent nutrition tracking effortless — a photo instead of a search — and to keep a genuinely usable free tier available so cost is never the reason someone stops tracking. Free accounts are supported by ads on our games pages and by rewarded video, not by selling your data.
For Trainers and Clients
SnapXFit also supports optional trainer–client coaching. A trainer sends an invite link, the client accepts it, and from then on the trainer can see that client's nutrition and workout history from a dedicated dashboard, spot who has stopped logging, and follow up. Every piece of this is opt-in: solo users are never required to connect with anyone, a client can be linked to a trainer only by accepting an invite, and the trainer view is read-focused. Solo tracking is the default experience and always will be.
Where SnapXFit Runs
SnapXFit is built for iPhone and Android, and that is where meal photo capture, workout logging, and daily tracking live. The website is here for the account, the policies, and our free games — the phone in your pocket is the tool you actually track with, because that is where the camera is.
Privacy and Your Photos
Meal photos are uploaded over a signed, expiring link, analysed once, and then deleted from storage when the result is committed. We keep the resulting numbers because that is your food diary; we do not keep an archive of your meals as images. You can request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing us from your account address — see the Privacy Policy for the full detail of what is stored and for how long.
Free Games and Articles
We publish a library of free browser games — sudoku, crossword, 2048, memory match, water sort, nut sort, sliding puzzle, bingo, reaction trainer, retro kart, arrow space, fitness wheel, and fitness-themed quizzes like Calorie Showdown, Healthy or Not, and Myth or Fact. They run in any browser, need no account, and are free. We also write plain-English fitness articles covering protein intake, calorie-deficit math, progressive overload, heart-rate zones, hydration, sleep and recovery, the 10,000-step myth, and how accurate meal-photo logging really is.
